Nikiboko
An extensive residential district east of Kralendijk, combining older neighbourhood sections with newer housing.

History
Nikiboko is one of Bonaire’s six traditional districts. Statistics Netherlands notes that the name appeared as ‘Nokoboki’ on an 1825 map. In the current statistical classification, Sabana also forms part of the Nikiboko district.
Character and living
The area is mainly residential and less tourism-oriented. Shops and daily services are dispersed, making a car practical. Building age, plot size, road surface and utility connections can differ considerably.
