Data we process
For an appointment request, we process your name, email address, optional telephone number, preferred date and time, message, language choice and selected listing. For a business sign-up, we process company name, email address, telephone number and message; the form is emailed to us and is not stored in the application database. For participating brokers, we process and display business profile and listing data. For the broker area, we process a username, email address and hashed password.
Website use
When a listing is visited, we increase only a total view count for that listing. This is not a personal profile. When you click a partner advertisement, we record the advertisement, its left or right position, the listing being viewed where applicable, and the time. We do not use this to create a personal profile. For security and incident investigation, the technical infrastructure may process log information, such as IP address, time, requested page and browser information.
Favorites and language
Favorites are stored only as listing slugs in your browser's local storage under caribbean_listings_favorites. They are not sent to our database as a favorites profile. When you choose a language, the functional site-lang cookie may be set.
Why and with whom
We use this data to operate the platform, display listings, send appointment requests to the relevant broker, handle sign-ups and access to the broker and partner areas, show aggregated listing and advertisement-click statistics and keep the website secure. An appointment request is sent to the broker for the selected listing. Hosting, database and email services support the platform and email delivery.
External content
A map on a listing-detail page is loaded from OpenFreeMap. External videos and virtual tours may be loaded through YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode, Vimeo or Matterport. These providers process data under their own policies.
Retention and your rights
Appointment requests remain available to the relevant broker and platform administrator until no longer needed for handling or until removed; the current application does not delete them automatically. Advertisement-click data remain available for reporting until no longer needed or until removed. You may request access, correction, deletion or restriction, and object where the law permits. No marketing tracking
The current website does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or other first-party marketing or advertising trackers. See the Cookie Policy for the current list of cookies and local storage.
Law and changes
The Personal Data Protection Act BES applies to processing in the Caribbean Netherlands. This statement reflects the current technical set-up and may change if the website changes. Last updated: 12 September 2026.
